About Step Up's "Ladies First" Media Awareness Program
Step Up's Media Awareness Program engages teen girls in the world of communication and consumerism. Students gain an understanding of the many facets of media and how it relates to their lives. They explore the processes and connections behind television and radio commercials, print ads and online media. For the final group projects, students create their very own book, expressing their unique voice and creating positive images of teen girls. To order a copy of the book, click here, and bring your book with you to the opening for the Step Up teens to sign!
