Help prepare Step Up teens for college and beyond!

Saturday mentorship workshops are a dynamic supplement to Step Up's Pathways to Professions after school and field trip program serving high school  juniors. The program is designed to help girls achieve whatever their post-secondary aspirations are and put them on the path to becoming successful women.

As a one-on-one mentor over a period of six months, you'll make a deep connection with your mentee, giving her guidance and perspective as she navigates her road to college and beyond.  All programs are run by a professional instructor, so your role is to provide personalized support and inspiration inside each workshop based on your college and career experience. You will be as inspired by your teen mentee, as she will be inspired by you!

Workshop topics include:
• Researching and choosing the right college
• Introduction to the college application
• Writing a college essay
• Resume writing
• Interview skills
• Financing college

Mentor Qualifications:
• Be a member of Step Up Women's Network
• A desire to make a positive impact for your teen mentee
• Commitment to entire six month program (see program dates below)
• Be an active and enthusiastic role model
• Be a college graduate
• Have strong communication, interpersonal and writing skills
• Read and sign the Step Up mentors' handbook

If any conflict arises, you must contact Step Up as soon as possible so we can arrange for a substitute mentor for your mentee.
