Become a mentor for an afternoon by volunteering in Step Up's after-school programs at Gertz-Ressler High School!
Your role as a mentor is to engage the girls in class activities and share your own experience. Your story of challenge and success makes a big impact!
Volunteer expectations:
a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young women
a fun, flexible and energetic attitude
your commitment to attend the class session you register for (register for as many or as few as you'd like!)
11th Grade: Pathways to Professions
In the 11th grade program, girls explore career opportunities based on their own individual strengths, values and preferences. They also research and explore college options based on what they've learned about themselves and their potential careers.

Step Up empowers high school girls in under-resourced communities to reach their full potential through dynamic, after-school and Saturday enrichment programming that helps them become confident, college-bound and career-ready.
