Help give Step Up’s most ambitious teens a fun, educational and comprehensive glimpse into life as a college student at Chicago’s renown Kendall College followed by an afternoon visit to the respected University of Illinois at Chicago! Set aside this Friday to spend at Kendall and UIC and enjoy campus tours, information sessions with student panels, and presentations by admissions counselors and financial aid representatives. Finally, finish the day bonding with the girls over an intimate dinner hosted by UIC students.

About PowerPrep

This day-trip college tour is part of Step Up’s "Power Prep” program. PowerPrep is a compelling program in which students participate in activities and short workshops focused on career and college development. Class topics include: writing a college essay, financing college, resume writing and job interview skills. By providing resources, instruction and a support network, the program is designed to help girls achieve whatever their post-secondary aspirations are and put them on the pathway to becoming successful women. Power Prep also serves as a precursor to the Young Luminaries Summer Internship Program for select students.
