Step Up and Pillsbury Winthrop Law Firm Team Up to Help Teens Prepare for their First Internship!
The Step Up Internship Program is an unpaid two-month summer program designed to introduce Step Up high school students to a variety of career opportunities through hands-on work experience and training from industry professionals. Our girls are matched at the following organizations and companies:
Dr. Phil, Rebel Entertainment Partners, Cimarron Group, Dual Star, Ofina Jewelry, USC Keck School of Medicine, Ofina Jewelry, Circle of Friends Outpatient Services Inc., Rock N Role Couture, Oshune Body Care, Pillsbury Winthrope Law Firm, and Delilah Bakery
In preparation for their first work experience, Pillsbury Winthrop’s partner and Step Up member Kimberly Buffington and their HR Manager Melissa will lead the teens in interactive activities on the following topics:
- Greetings/Introductions/Making Conversation
- Interviews
- Appropriate BusWork Ethic/Professionalism
- Job Retention
