In this Step Up class we will tackle three key topics:
Being a woman today, Inspirational stories, and Dreams.
In addition to absorbing compelling and outstanding literature pertinent to the topics of interest, each girl will explore her individual voice as a poet through in-class exercises and critiques. After learning the fundamental elements of poetry and improvising spoken word pieces each girl will focus on refining her body of work to be featured in an end of session chapbook and performance.
