Become a mentor for an afternoon by volunteering in Step Up's after-school programs at North-Grand High School!
Your role as a mentor is to engage the girls in class activities and share your own experience. Your story of challenge and success makes a big impact!
Volunteer expectations:
the desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young women
a fun, flexible and energetic attitude
your commitment to attend the class session you register for (register for as many or as few as you'd like!)
North-Grand dress code:
no jeggings (extremely tight denim pants)
no offensive or gang-related slogans
no hats on in the building
About Step Up Teen Programs
Step Up empowers high school girls in underserved communities to reach their full potential through dynamic after-school and Saturday enrichment programming that helps girls become confident, college-bound and career-ready.
A week before your mentoring date, you'll be contacted with more information about each program so you can choose which one is right for you.
