About the Speakers
Amy Swift Crosby
is entrepreneurship obsessed. As the founder of the SMARTY community, she is an expert at launching and growing small businesses and has moderated hundreds of panels featuring successful entrepreneur's. SMARTY Membership gives women entrepreneurs the resources, education and connections to facilitate the growth of healthy, profitable businesses.

Robin Coe-Hutshing,
Founder of STUDIO BEAUTYMIX began with a small beauty counter founded by her and her sister Jennifer Coe-Bakewell at Fred Segal in Santa Monica in 1984.  It quickly became the ultimate destination for style-savvy, cosmetics-obsessed and luxury-minded shoppers worldwide. 25 years later, beauty fanatics are still flocking to STUDIO BEAUTYMIX at Fred Segal to discover an unparalleled brand selection in an innovative retail environment.

The roots of STUDIO BEAUTYMIX were based on the conviction that customers wanted to purchase personal care differently in a new and savvier world marketplace.  Robin and Jennifer pioneered the first custom perfumery and open-sell apothecary environment for merchandising cosmetics. This departure from the norm created quite a stir in the industry as its market appeal could not be denied.  Imitators soon followed but STUDIO BEAUTYMIX remains at the forefront of emerging trends and innovative merchandising.

Nicole Ostoya,
CEO of STUDIO BEAUTYMIX at Fred Segal and a founding member of the iDTV team, brings all her retail talents to the electronic retail world. Nicole brings with her over 20 years experience in merchandising in the fashion and beauty business. An accomplished leader, she has driven significant growth in retail, wholesale, and merchandising sectors, and is widely recognized as a visionary in her field.

Nicole has contributed to the growth and profitability of large trendsetting corporations; Nordstrom and LVMH. Motivational leader and “hands-on” team contributor that manages multiple responsibilities simultaneously in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment. Effective communicator that develops trusting relationships through integrity, professional character, and industry expertise.

Stephanie Johnson,
Who better to design a travel collection than an order-obsessed modernist and traveling anthropologista? Stephanie Johnson launched her line of namesake travel accessories in 2000 after countless trips abroad and weeks spent packing and unpacking suitcases. Unruly belongings have no place in Johnson’s stylish Type A universe. Her thirst for organization, compounded by insatiable wanderlust, has made her a master consumer of packing order.

After a beguiling 13 year run as a high-powered executive for MCI WorldCom, Johnson abandoned her stock options and six-figure salary and devoted herself fully to uniquely compartmentalized design. Johnson eschews the latest trends and seeks to continually re-imagine the perfect travel accessory.

Lolita Carrico, With more than 15 years experience in marketing and public relations, Lolita Carrico is the original founder of Modern Mom and a pioneer in the online and marketing to moms space.

After eight years of leading ModernMom.com to one of the top destinations for moms online, she sold the company in 2009 to Demand Media’s Richard Rosenblatt and celebrity mom Brooke Burke.

In the summer of 2009, Lolita debuted her most recent project: the GLOSS network for women and an online video channel, GLOSStv. Featuring more than half a dozen destinations, the GLOSS sites offer content and community covering motherhood, beauty, fashion, cooking, health & fitness and more. In less than six months, GLOSS has attracted over 200,000 unique visitors per month and has garnered sponsorship from Fortune 500 partners including General Mills, Procter & Gamble and Disney.
