Presented by SAS Shoes
LOS ANGELES (May 29, 2019) – Mentorship nonprofit Step Up announced today that it will honor She Is The Music and Benefit Cosmetics' Bold Is Beautiful project at their annual Inspiration Awards presented by SAS Shoes on May 31 in Beverly Hills. The star-studded charity luncheon will benefit Step Up's confidence-building programs, and recognize these initiatives, alongside Step Up teen Alondra, for their commitment to the advancement of women and girls.
Singer/songwriter Lauren Jauregui will accept the award on behalf of She Is The Music for the nonprofit's work to increase the number of women creators in music.
Annie Ford Danielson will accept on behalf of Benefit Cosmetics' Bold Is Beautiful project, which has invested over $1 million in Step Up programs over four years.
Step Up believes all girls should have the opportunity to fulfill their potential, and the Inspiration Awards raise 45% of the funds Step Up needs to reach girls in the Los Angeles community for one year.
"The Inspiration Awards shines a light on the impact of mentorship and how important it is to share our voices and platforms with others," Step Up Executive Director Kate Baxter, Ed.D. said. "We're excited to be honoring true allies in our mission in She Is The Music, Bold Is Beautiful, and Step Up graduating senior Alondra. All of our honorees inspire and support women and girls in fulfilling their potential."
