Honoree Applicant Criteria
Eligible honorees have excelled in one or more of the following areas:
- Demonstrated a passion for social justice
- Advocated for change in their community
- Exhibited commitment to Step Up
- Motivated others to be involved in Step Up
- Stood out as a leader by taking initiative
- Is active in their community and/or school
- Has served as a role model or in a mentorship role
- Supports and lifts up other girls, women, and peers
- Represents Step Up by embodying our values
- Must be between 14-25 years old
Honoree Expectations
- Be comfortable sharing your story on a virtual platform + being recorded
- Spend time now through summer 2021 to work with Step Up staff on writing and delivering your speech and additionnalmaterials
- Attend other events (as necessary) during the spring semester after school and/or on weekends
- Continue actively attending Step Up virtual programming
- Respond to all Step Up communications in a timely manner
- Be enthusiastic about interviewing our celebrity and executive honorees
