Meet Step Up's Mentoring App
Step Up's Mentoring App is a free, virtual space for young adults and mentors to engage in flash mentorship, make new connections, learn from self-guided lessons, and more. Meet our Mentoring App manager and find ways to get involved below!

Raven Barrett
Mentoring App Manager
Raven is responsible for managing our online mentoring program and bringing Step Up’s mission to life through our Mentorship App. She ensures that mentors and mentees have a seamless experience, providing the support and resources they need to strengthen their connections. Let’s look at some of the app’s key features and this year's exciting initiatives:
Mentoring App Features
Career Conversations Webinar Series
A space for mentees to listen to moderated conversations with well-known professionals who provide career advice and answer mentee-submitted questions.
Check out our upcoming events to see when our next Career Conversations Webinar Series is happening.
Career Coaching Program
A 3-month mentorship program pairing mentors and mentees who select one of three structured tracks to guide their professional development:
- Career Clarity: Helps mentees identify their strengths and gain clarity on their professional goals.
- Career Competitive: Focuses on strengthening mentees’ applications and preparation for desired roles.
- Career Catalyst: Jumpstarts mentees’ ambitions through goal setting and action planning.
Participants will have four scheduled calls throughout the program to work toward their chosen track’s objectives.
Group Mentoring Sessions
Multiple mentees can sign up for a session with one mentor focused on a specific area of support. These sessions create an opportunity for mentees to support each other while receiving direct advice from a relatable and understanding professional.
Connect Forum Chats
Users on the app can connect through virtual group chats, including...
- Career Connect Chat: A space for mentees to connect with mentors for direct and on-demand career support.
- Mentee Connect Chat: Encourages mentees to network with like-minded peers for collaboration and mutual support.
- Mentor Connect Chat: Allows mentors to share resources, advice, and mentorship strategies with fellow mentors.
