Allstate Insurance Company believes in the importance of empowering youth and focusing on providing them the tools to build healthy relationships. This is just one of the many reasons Allstate has been a great partner to Step Up.
Allstate has kept Step Up Chicago’s signature fundraiser, Shine & Dine, “in good hands” since the event launched in 2011. After supporting as a Gold Sponsor for 4 years and helping the event grow considerably, Allstate has increased their support in 2015 to become the Presenting Sponsor of Shine & Dine 2015. Shine & Dine raises 38% of Step Up Chicago’s operating budget for the year, helping ensure that more than 250 girls have the opportunity to fulfill their potential through Step Up’s teen empowerment programs.
As part of Allstate’s 2015 sponsorship, Step Up will present Stephanie Neely with the Corporate Honoree award in recognition of her involvement with Step Up over the past 6 years. Stephanie has spoken to Step Up members at Power Breakfasts and the Women’s History Month panel, and to Step Up teens at the Connections Conference, inspiring both crowds with career journey between the corporate sector and politics, and her mission to help women become financially empowered. In addition to Stephanie’s involvement, Step Up has also benefitted from the support of additional Allstate employees’ time and talent, through membership, volunteerism and board service. Meghan O’Kelly, corporate relations division manager for Allstate, has served as a Step Up Chicago Chapter Board member since 2014 and is currently the Individual Fundraising Committee Co-Lead.
