What started as a few small, local sponsorships and in-kind snack support out of one Step Up city, grew into a year-over-year nationwide partnership! Thanks to the dedication and commitment of three regional managers, LUNA has increased its giving tenfold in four years.

All year long, our teens and members are lucky enough to be treated to LUNA snacks at after-school programs, mentoring conferences, Open Houses and panels thanks to LUNA’s unwavering in-kind support.
LUNA stepped up as a national sponsor of Step Up’s membership drive event, Stepping Up in the City in Los Angeles, New York and Chicago in the fall of 2013, helping introduce hundreds of women to Step Up’s mission of helping all girls fulfill their potential. LUNA treated the crowd to delicious and healthy snacks as they mixed and mingled with like-minded women, engaged in creative career exploration activities with our teens, and raised critical funds to help support Step Up’s after-school programs! In February of 2014, Step Up & LUNA partnered on a traveling film festival by, for and about women! Watch the trailer! Learn more about the fabulous female filmmakers here! With stats like ‘women represent only 15% of protagonists in the top-100 grossing films’ and ‘when a woman directs a film, there is a 6.8% increase in the number of females onscreen,’ empowering women filmmakers to ensure our stories are told is imperative to ensuring Step Up’s vision that every girl fulfills her potential is achieved!
During spring 2014, LUNA continued its support of Step Up through sponsorship of the Inspiration Awards, Step Up’s annual fundraising gala in LA, bringing community insiders, entertainment leaders and Step Up supporters together to inspire women to inspire girls. The event was held the Beverly Hilton on May 31, 2013, where honorees Zoe Saldana, Variety’s Claudia Eller and KPMG were recognized for their contributions to the Step Up mission of service to women and girls. As an Anniversary Level partner, LUNA was offered a brand activation onsite in the lounge during the pre-lunch reception. There, LUNA set up a snack shop featuring some of its tastiest new flavors!

LUNA is committed to helping workday warriors make their workplace happier and healthier. During 2014 and 2015, LUNA offered Step Up Luminary Circle members a first taste of its new flavors through four special product offers emailed to that exclusive level of donor, offering a box of goodies delivered right to their offices. Needless to say, this made LUNA and our members VERY POPULAR!
