Innovation Protocol (IP) is thrilled to be this year’s presenting sponsor of Step Up’s blog.
Two years ago, IP became a corporate sponsor at Step Up. But, we’ve actually had a much longer history. Ten years ago, our Vice President of Brand Strategy, Stacey Chapper, began engaging with Step Up after finding them through a Google search when looking for mentorship opportunities in Los Angeles. Step Up’s mission, program delivery, and flexibility resonated with her interests and busy work schedule, and after her first mentorship event, she was hooked. So naturally, when IP was looking for organizations to formally partner with, Step Up was the first to come to mind.
As a Brand Strategy and Design consultancy, education is a core component of what we do and what we are passionate about. Partnering with Step Up, participating in events, and hosting young women for Experienceships over the past two years has given us the opportunity to further support Step Up in their work and share some wisdom about brand strategy and design, hopefully sparking curiosity and continued interest for girls and young women.
Since becoming a corporate sponsor, members of the IP team have volunteered for various programs – from Luminaries Career Coaching to Fly Together to the newest program The Blueprint. It’s exciting to see everyone develop their own relationships with Step Up teens, young women, and other mentors they have connected with.
Now, IP is collaborating with Step Up to help reimagine their brand. This process involves deep discovery, research, and conversations with stakeholders to understand what Step Up offers and why Step Up matters across core audiences. IP is honored to partner on this effort and collaboratively craft a brand that authentically expresses who Step Up is today and ensures it is poised to grow and evolve. Above all, it will represent what we all know and love about the organization.
Over the course of the year, we will be sharing posts that highlight our partnership and outputs of this brand effort. You can also expect to see some educational bites about brand as they relate to different industries, as well as how women can build amazing career paths as brand strategists and designers.
