Summer break is a great time to take it easy but it is also arguably one of the best times to bring more awareness to yourself and to reevaluate your life. It's a wonderful opportunity to refresh and upgrade your life.
In a previous blog post, we discussed creating a bucket list, but maybe you need something a little more straight forward to renew yourself mentally and emotionally before anything else. If so, check out these awesome tips below from a YouTube video called "How to Renew Yourself-Your Refreshing Start" by Lavendaire.
1. Self-Awareness: Reflect and ask yourself questions such as, "How do I feel?", "How did I get here?", "Why do I feel this way?"
2. Reset Your Mind: Consistent meditation can be a great start!
3. Learning to Listen and Trust Yourself: Pay attention to your inner voice. Try journaling to dig deep.
4. List What is Not Serving You: Write down what isn't working out for you. Ask yourself questions like, "What is draining me?", "What is not supporting me in becoming my best self?"
5. Let Go of What Doesn't Serve You: Once you are aware of what is not serving you then the next step is to let it go or reduce it as much as you can. This can help you to update your routines and lifestyle and create boundaries that support you.
6. List Things That Makes You Feel Amazing: List the things that lift up your energy and that make you feel good and make you feel vibrant and healthy. Make the time to do more of these things.
7. Attract What You Want to Become: Decide in full detail where you want to be and how you want to feel, and then take some time to step into that feeling of how you want to feel by visualizing. You can do that while you meditate or right before you fall asleep. If visualizing doesn't work for you then you can try "scripting". Scripting is a type of journaling where you write in the present tense as your ideal self. Practice gratitude! It makes a huge difference.
8. Patience + Time: Trust the process. It's okay to not have everything figured out.
Don't be afraid to prioritize time for yourself. You deserve it!
