Micaela joined Step Up to meet new people, and she now feels more confident in socializing with her friends, whom she now calls her Step Up sisters. After completing her first year of high school, Micaela has made quite the name for herself at Carl Schurz High School in Chicago. She is on the honor roll, student council, and will be participating in her high school’s Academic Decathlon next school year. She notes that Step Up helps her feel comfortable and welcome each time she’s at a program or event. You make us proud, Micaela!
