Teen of the Month: Chicago's Natalie

Chicago’s teen of the month is Carl Schurz rock-star 11th grader, Natalie Avila. Not only is Natalie at 100% attendance with Step Up afterschool programming, Pathways trips and Connections Conferences, but she goes over and beyond being a Step Up girl by putting the Pathways to Professions curriculum into practice. Natalie recently started a fragrance sales position with a department store and she was up for the challenge by making more sales than veterans on her first day! Natalie sees a challenge and conquers it with confidence and poise. She truly understands the benefits of the Step Up program and we are proud of the young woman that she is becoming.
