Teen of the Month: New York's Kristen

Kristen Gordon is a recent high school graduate from The Young Women’s Leadership School (TYWLS) in East Harlem. Kristen will be attending Spelman College in Atlanta in the fall and has been active in Step Up since her sophomore year of high school. This year, Kristen has taken a leadership role in both Step Up and her school community, serving as a Step Up ambassador, gaining a month-long summer internship position at Step Up through The Young Women’s Leadership Network, and co-facilitating one day of Step Up programming at her school’s summer camp for younger girls. Kristen is a committed leader who hopes to make an impact on the world one day by combining both her people skills and organizational skills!
