Erika was first inspired by Step Up’s mission after volunteering at Shine & Dine last year. The teens she met that night inspired her to join Step Up, as a member, just a couple weeks later. After mentoring at the College Connections Conference, Erika became a regular mentor at Muchin College Prep and began mentoring the teens every other week. Erika’s passion for Step Up’s mission is clear through the enthusiasm she shares with others. “Volunteering for Step Up helps me remember that the possibilities are endless. The girls are so driven and so full of energy that it reminds me to be thankful for how far I've come, but remember I still have a journey ahead of me. I hope I influence them as much as they influence me!”
