Volunteers make the world go ‘round and at Step Up, it’s no different. The most common way women volunteer with Step Up is as a mentor to a teen girl. That can be as simple as attending a one-day drop-in mentoring session or can become a more regular weekly or monthly commitment – it’s up to you and your schedule. For more information on mentoring with Step Up, please visit our mentorship page.
We really recommend that everyone experiences Step Up mentorship, but there are other ways to volunteer, too.
Every Step Up event is the result of the hard work of many, and we’d love your assistance. Example volunteer roles include assisting with check-in and welcoming guests, serving as a Step Up ambassador at an information table, serving on the event planning committee and more. To find the right event volunteer role for you, visit our event calendar or contact your local event program manager.
The ultimate volunteer commitment is serving on Step Up’s Chapter Boards. Chapter Boards advocate for the organization’s mission and purpose, ensure financial resources through both fundraising and personal giving, recruit new participants and leaders, enhance the organization’s public standing, support the staff, and help strengthen the organization’s programs and services. To learn more about Chapter Board service, contact your local managing director.
