We know that significant barriers are entrenched for women in the workforce. Median incomes average $18,000 annually, barely above the poverty line for a single household. Even with higher education, nearly half of women graduates start their careers in roles where they are overqualified and underpaid.
Step Up programming addresses these barriers by providing opportunities for girls to participate in career exploration field trips, see themselves reflected in diverse mentors in a myriad of inspiring roles, and develop the tools and confidence to pursue their next steps to success.
