Our Commitment to Fighting the Confidence Gap

Step Up is proud to partner with Kérastase, the world's leading luxury professional haircare brand, which reaffirms its mission beyond hair care with the Power Talks initiative aimed at closing the confidence gap between men and women. Based on the idea that one powerful conversation can have a profound and enduring impact, we host the Power Talks series and offer flash mentorship via Step Up's Mentoring App. Why? Women who have had a mentor are 74% more likely to be very self-confident.

Focus on Flash Mentoring

Power Talks offers complimentary support for young women (ages 18-29) as they identify and develop tools of success in key areas of career preparation through flash mentorship. Flash mentoring pairs mentors and mentees together for short-term, targeted, skills-based mentoring. Power Talks sessions include inspirational speakers followed by mentor moments, allowing participants to dive deep into developmental themes and explore topics that support them as they grow their confidence, connectedness, and career-readiness.

Who Can Attend Power Talks?

Young Adult Mentees (Ages 18-29)

As a mentee, you'll connect with knowledgeable mentors for impactful conversations meant to grow your confidence, help you overcome obstacles, and support you as you create a career (and life) you love.

Mentors (Ages 30+)

As a Power Talks mentor (ages 30+), you'll help guide young adults as they learn how to navigate challenges, grow their confidence, and develop a roadmap to professional (and personal) success.
