Lenny first volunteered through a workshop on financial literacy for the Young Luminaries, and was immediately taken by Step Up’s mission and the enthusiasm, commitment and drive of the girls. Lenny is a committee member in the Women’s Interest Network (WIN) at American Express, and she feels passionately about supporting girls to become strong and independent. Lenny is also a self-imposed book junkie and generally gets inspiration from reading anything about pioneering women, current and historical. In addition to working at American Express Lenny is a Certified Professional Coach and works with women on career development.
“My favorite thing about Step Up is that every event I attend, either by being a mentor or in a professional development setting, leaves me inspired, and I love that Step Up has combined the two, it’s truly unique. This is what I highlight to colleagues and friends, and several of them have joined since I got involved,” Lenny says.
