Hailey Bocanegra is the young adults program associate within Step Up’s programs department.
Prior to joining Step Up, Hailey received her B.S. in public health at the Texas A&M University, College Station. During her undergraduate career, she participated in a women’s organization that had a mission of empowering women and saving dogs at the same time. From this experience, she learned about philanthropy, sisterhood, academic success, and female empowerment.
Hailey is based in Dallas, Texas and would love to come to Los Angeles where she was born and lived there in early childhood. Her hobbies include playing pickleball, spending time with friends and family, and walking her dogs.
What has your mentor taught you?
My mentor has taught me to believe in myself and strive for the big goal. She has helped me to navigate through challenges and to thrive in adversity. She made me believe that I can always try new things and to not believe in being stagnant if that’s not my passion.
What do you enjoy most about working at Step Up?
I enjoy being surrounded by women who believe in the mission of Step Up and to see young women strive for success.
